Cinderella: The Office Genie Christmas Party
Thankfully, no one lost a glass slipper ...

We all know the story of Cinderella, desperate to take a break from her life as a servant to her stepsisters and go to the ball. When she gets there (with the help of her Fairy Godmother) she is fortunate to meet Prince Charming and fall in love ...
We may not have lost a glass slipper at The Office Genie Christmas Party 2013 but everybody had a great time at the ball!
As we business owners know, when you have been working hard you deserve to let your hair down. The Fairy Godmother primped and pampered Cinderella so she was fit for the ball. And as every girl knows, the fun of a party is in the dolling yourself up, wearing that party frock and your killer heels!
Every year, we hold a party for the Genies and our clients so they can have a night off. We all get dressed up and forget about work and dance the night away. This year's party was fun and a great time was had by all that made it. Unfortunately three genies weren't well and a number of our clients were forced to pull out at the last minute; however, we still had enough to cast our own version of the pantomime Cinderella.
Our Leading Lady was Dione, who looked absolutely stunning and matched herself up with the lovely Lee, so perhaps he should be Prince Charming! The Ugly Sisters appeared in the form of some bouncers (nicknamed Big Bouncer and Little Bouncer by some of us!) who had words with our Prince Charming's sidekick Michelle, so she must be Dandini.
Then there was the cheeky Iain who clearly took the role of Buttons and worked with Prince Charming to ply Baron Hardup (my hubby) with enough liquor that he was a little worse for wear at the end of the night! Our Fairy Godmother, sprinkling her sparkle around the dance floor for the night, was the lovely Marie.
The remainder of our guests providing a perfect chorus line on the dance floor and ate all the extra food at the dinner table so that we didn't send too many plates back to the kitchen. And the Genie team were the backstage crew.
As the party is my brainchild, I will take the role of the director, aided in some tasks by my assistant Ciaran. The task of making sure people knew where they were going and what they were doing was done by my Stage Manager, Selena and her deputy Mo.
The joy for our clients is that as small businesses, for whom a Christmas Party seems pointless with only a few team members, they get to come as our guests and meet people they have something in common with. So, if you fancy coming to a fabulous party organised by experienced Events Administrators then perhaps it's time to consider using us for your call handling?
