Celebrating 10 Years Of The Office Genie

Happy birthday to us! Happy birthday to us!

This month marks The Office Genie's tenth birthday. It's fair to say that over the last 10 years, just like all other business owners, I've suffered my fair share of bumps and bruises, but I've also been lucky to enjoy a number of achievements ...

It's our birthday! The Office Genie is 10 years old!

There are certain milestones you aim to reach as a business owner and being in business for a decade, to me, is certainly one of them. When we first opened our doors in 2005, I had no idea how successful the company would be, or how long it would survive.

"Especially as the recession hit directly in the midst of our initial growth!"

Much to my delight, we have gone from strength to strength since our very first day of operating. We've hired more staff, built our client list and have recently moved to our biggest offices yet. I've put together a short video of our last ten years ...

Looking back over what The Office Genie has achieved over the past ten years makes me extremely proud, and hearing comments from our clients really does make all that hard work and determination worthwhile.

I thought I'd share a few with you ...

"We have used The Office Genie for over 8 years, faultless service. You can't put a price on that as far as I'm concerned" - Neil Barratt, Keba Computers

"We've used The Office Genie for years and the service has always been first class. It's about trusting that the person answering the call is doing so in the same way you would. We treat them as an extension of our team and highly recommend them" - Stuart Ramsey, Accountancy Extra

"We have been using The Office Genie's services for many years now. I think that we may have been their very first client in fact. This represented a great leap of faith for us as we were entrusting a third party to be our first line ambassadors! Our faith was and still is rewarded by the Genies superb professionalism and calm handling of inbound enquiries and queries for our company. We use the service on a full-time basis and consider The Office Genie to be our very own reception function. I would and often do recommend their services to anyone requiring a first class service that offers great value and peace of mind" - Russ Bradbury, Total Office Products

As a business owner, I'm sure you'll agree that it's these kinds of comments that get you through those difficult days at the office. Knowing that your clients are happy with the service you provide and that they see you as a real asset to their business is what we strive to achieve and is our number one priority at all times.

"But trust me when I say you have to overcome some bumpy roads to get there!"

So talk to your clients and see what they have to say about your products and services then gather all those great testimonials in one place. Put them in a book or Word document that you can open when you're having a bad day. They'll remind you of what you have achieved and what you can continue to achieve. Ten years will be upon you in no time.

So here's to the next ten years! But it wouldn't be a birthday without cake and a bit of a party so I'm inviting you to come and visit Genie Heights this month. We're keeping our cake stock levels high and our diary open.

Call me on 01604 529170 or click here to send me an email letting me know when you're available and we'll organise coffee, cake and a chat.

I'd love to hear about your new business ventures and goals!

Until next time ...

More about Jacqui Frost ...

I had a successful 20-year career as an office manager and personal assistant; however, my job was no longer focused on the customers and became all about the numbers. My customer-focused background began when I was 12 in my father's independent carpet showroom. I had a spell with Marks & Spencer before I moved into office-based jobs. I have worked as a training administrator, a PA and PA/office manager in a variety of industries from manufacturing to the IT education sector.

Meanwhile, my husband Ian, a successful Northampton based Master Decorator and owner of Rainbow Frost, was losing out on work due to missed phone calls. When he was busy, callers were getting his voicemail but weren't leaving messages. I knew how to fix that problem!

I quit my job and took on Ian as the first client of The Office Genie in November 2005. Word quickly spread with the second client coming on board just one week later. The majority of our clients since have come to us through word of mouth recommendations and networking referrals. Over the years, I have become well connected in Northampton and Milton Keynes.

Outside of work I enjoy swimming, roller skating, the theatre and my cats and dogs!
