I love Buttons - not the chocolate ones, though I do like them too now you come to mention it! I mean the Pantomime character. Once, several years ago in my Amateur Dramatic Panto days, I played Buttons - a slight oddity I know because I was a girl, but anyway ...

Buttons is the lovable friend of Cinderella, hail fellow, well met type, boy next door. Very loyal and protective of Cinderella. Quite often he is used as the warm up - getting the audience in the mood, making sure that everyone has a good time. Throughout the show he explains stuff to the audience so they understand what is going on and helps to build the audience's loyalty to Cinderella.

It struck me, as I was sat defining the character trying to work out how to weave him into this blog post, that Buttons is a great representative of what we do here at The Office Genie on behalf of our clients.
